Since it’s International Women’s Month, I want to open the
issue of being a trophy girlfriend—since sexual misogyny is already a cliché.
Or maybe not? Millenials (like me haha) are already posing fake illusory image
on social media that we have a good life—“perfect” relationship goals, as they
say. There are women out there who WANTS to be a trophy girlfriend, anyway—that
it’s perfectly fine to be loved as an object since they are, ahem, ready to be
objectified. I guess it’s not about men ALL THE TIME. Perhaps, we need a social
reconstruction.
This month, let’s try to educate young girls to never use
their body for temporary hookups—that we are more than the infamous “shoot her
in the vagina” argument. Girls can be lawyers. Teachers. Astronauts. Writers.
Boys, my two cents please.
DISCLAIMER: Di ako nakikiuso just for the heck of it.
Kolehiyala pa lang ako, feminist na ‘ko. But no, I ain’t a femi-NAZI. Oh! By
the way, girls can also wear whatever they want. Baka sabihin nyo
body-shaming-power-trip-shitty post ito. Hindi po.
